If he's planning another coup during the elections next year, similar to the one that failed on January 6, there just might not be anybody around to stop him. No. There is no coup going on. In blue cities in both blue and red states, crime is an issue. I live in Houston. I graduated UT/Austin and have lived here since 1978. I always planned to die here. But the crime has gotten so bad, that my wife and I fear for our personal safety because of what we have personally witnessed. We have bought property in a town 200 miles from here where the crime is low. It looks like I will die there. The blue cities elect incompetent politicians who seem to be afraid to employ law enforcement that will truly stop the crime. The reason appears to be that they cant get elected unless they "lay off." I know that they cite statistics about how crime is dropping, but none of that is trustworthy, and dropping from "extremely bad" to "real bad" is not truly a fix. The crime problem is systemic and appeared inoperable. Trump refused to accept that he cannot do anything about and is doing things that will be tested in the courts. I, and people like me appreciate his efforts and hope for his success. My wife and I personally know someone who was shot filling up their car. As for facist, dictator, coups etc...all of that is not reality. It is the demogoguery of politicians with failed and non-reality policies and the degeneracy that they represent. Trump is an American president. If you hate Trump, I can promise you that you would have hated George Washington and Andrew Jackson. The enemy of democracy is not Trump. The true enemy of a democracy is the degeneration of the leaders and the led, that inevitably pervades a democracy and becomes so untenable that it spawns "law-and-order" leaders who will actually do something about it. And here we are. I am not going to go back and forth on this. This is all that I have to say. It is common knowledge that introducing political commentary into a conversation is a sure-wire way to create animosities. Marty Ps: Ignore the troll below. He's hopelessly obsessed with everything that I write.
