John
The US is factionalized and badly divided. Trump is not a cause. He is part of a global effect. Insults in the US political history are not unknown at all. We had a civil war. The current times are the good old days compared to that.
Nonetheless, the fabric of our society has currently become so polarized and divided, that discourse has coarsened. Never forget that the US just elected a guy that you hate, but we have had a decade to scrutinize him intensely, with your constant illumination of every little thing that you regard as a misstep..
Trump said that the judge was an a-hole and should be impeached. Roberts responded by asserting the integrity of the entire judicial branch.
Prioritizing that...is being lost in the trees.
The forest is the many criminal circumstances that led to this exchange. The forest is the screams of women being raped by thousands of people allowed to flow into the country by an administration that refused to stop it, and always could have. Just as Trump has done. Trump is building a wall. Biden was selling it off for scrap just to impede Trump.
At this point, worrying about Trump's discourse is almost Victorian and irrelevant. It's 2025. A lot of things have become badly disordered.
