Then came that Condo structural failure.
Most damaging, then came the law that Condos must assess fees for a set-back fund.

Then people started selling off.

Florida and Texas are leading a housing downturn

Marty,
your response seemed to make a lot of sense the first time I read it. But now I'm scratching my head. I don’t understand what Biden has to do with the value of my real estate? Everybody knows supply and demand is responsible for the prices of many things (eggs, real estate, …). Accordingly, prices go up and down. Of course, tariffs override this rule. We took a direct hit from hurricane Ian in late 2022. My real estate asset value went just slightly higher in 2022 and in 2023. It rose over 60% in 2024. Are you saying Biden was responsible for that sharp rise in demand? How did he do that? Maybe it was the stock market wealth that allowed people to pay higher prices. I don't know. Since the beginning of this year, supply has skyrocketed and demand for real estate seems to be fairly low. That's good for me because my property taxes will go down again, hopefully. All of the houses on my street up for sale are owned by Canadians. I didn’t know so many Canadians owned houses here. The ones I talked to say they are selling because of our current president and his policies towards Canada. But anyway, thanks for the explanation. I’m sure things are different where you live.

P.S. I just heard the Harry S. Truman was attacked in the Red Sea. It looks like we are being drawn in to another conflict in a faraway country.
