On January 6, 2021, before the riot at the U.S. Capitol, Donald Trump addressed a crowd at a "Save America" rally near the White House. During his speech, he repeated false claims about a stolen election and urged his supporters to march to the Capitol. He told the crowd, "We're going to walk down to the Capitol, and we're going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women," adding, "You'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong." He also said, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
Later that day, after the Capitol was breached, he released a video message telling his supporters to "go home," while also repeating his claims about the election. In the video, he said, "We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special."

"The music industry is filled with risk takers, but not so filled with people who educate themselves before taking the leap." –Brian Austin Whitney
