Id say Wes Montgomery is the greatest jazz player of all time, maybe Django is too old , but he's a legend for sure.

And while there great musicians in all genres...even eastern music like Ravi Shankar , and some amazing metal players, I think jazz musicians are the most complete musicians.

The amount of study, ten hours a day practice, they are all excellent sight reader's. Know everything on the guitar, and are theory encyclopedias.

That said, I will always be a rock and roller, and blues.

I dabbled in jazz but if you don't love jazz, you can't play it at a high level.

I let them guys what what they do, and try to figure out what it is I do.
