And this goes from government to ordinary Canadians who will no longer spend money on anything made in USA and will no longer travel there.

Oh I am sure there will be things hard to give up...but even if 80% of Canadians will still use Amazon or subscribe to Netflix, that WILL be felt...and I expect if things escalate, that will go down further.

The sentiment I hear is that even if Trump backs down and begins to act responsibly, the major damage has been done and the USA will feel it.
Our shopping and sourcing behaviour has changed and we are actively avoiding anything US...have been for a month or more now

Just think of your own Buy America on steroids because everyone is already working together to identify what to boycott.
Difficult, 100% made in USA vs partly sourced in USA but finished here...US ownership vs US product.
BUT everyone along the supply chain is helping identify what is safely Canadian so consumers here can vote with their money.

In a nutshell, Trump fired the first shot in this. We have to show we can absorb it and then hit back as hard as we can in your most vulnerable spots.

Yes. Congrats!

"The word "trade" implies mutual agreement and fair exchange, John..."

If the whole rest of the world wakes up and follows your stated Canadian initiative, then countries will become independent and self sufficient again. Sovereignty will take precedence over global economy, and the world will get out of this Bull$hit trade deficit and global debt scam.

But we've had this conversation before... So, I really don't expect you to understand, John.

THEN,
there's prophecy... LOL grin

Hold on to your hat, John.
Someone is eventually going to show up with a solution that you can accept... and he will probably convince you that god (little g) is just misunderstood.
