I always thought that if someone was NOT GUILTY of a crime, that they were INNOCENT of the crime.
So NOT GUILTY means NOT-GUILTY-BUT-NOT-INNOCENT.
That's good to know. Yes it's absolutely true. Not guilty means they couldn't prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" in which case you vote not guilty. Mostly cause no other suspect was found or tried. So you have one guy...probably guilty, was the term they flipped around... But court of law there's no probably guilty, you have to be proven without reasonable doubt. Ie, he could have an alibi saying he didn't do it, but he still actually did it ..found out later...
