Faith in the truth of "something" is insufficient proof that "something" a) truly exists and b) exhibits the characteristics believers ascribe to their version of "something"

I'm amazed Jews Christians, Muslims and other faiths are monotheistic, so share the same a), God exists, but then all hell breaks loose around the b)

Marty's position as a self declared agnostic is that it is useless to talk about b) because we cannot establish the truth of a) which must be taken on faith alone

Underlying point, well recognized, is faith in the existence of a) is not proof a) is true.

As long as that is the case, individual belief must be vigorously respected and supported.
