Well, im not sure how any of that applies to me, im not saying there is no God. And faith is based on something you have seen, heard, felt. If nobody claimed to have seen Jesus rise from the dead after three days, (actually, they didn't say they saw him rise, they saw him missing, and then saw him) then you wouldn't be thinking he did. So, it's heavily dependent on that small group of people in this massive history of humanity. What if, and just hypothetically, somebody was imagining it? Or even making it up? How do you know they werent? You dont. Your faith is in what was written down, and not even by the actual people who saw it, by different people who knew how to write. If i said to you, have faith Everette, you will have a hit song published within the next 5 years. You'd wonder, how can I say that, what proof does he have to say within 5 years, You'd immediately not take it too seriously, because the evidence to support that claim would be missing Your evidence for your faith in God, comes from the bible. Written 2000 years ago, by people you dont know, have no real idea if what they wrote was accurate. You just accept it, because it says "this is God's word" I have a much easier time believing in a spiritual world, a life force if you will, than something written down by human beings... fallable, often biased human beings. Every religion thinks they are right, even all the Christian religions dont agree on things. But i think The Bible is an excellent book and if everybody read it and did what it said, The World could be a much better place. Then again, behavior seems to be governed by genetics, some criminals have been studied and their brains are different than "good" or basicly good people, and your brain probably decides your belief in God as well. The will to be good may be there, but the brain gives it's own orders. But im not an atheist nor an agnostic. Im a believer who is unsure if he's right...... that's a new one hey? on Eyewitness testimony, and why you cant convince anybody else there is a God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM_HPAXwJFw
