Everett said we were in the last days You said "final days". No difference.
Acts 2:17 said the last days were already in motion at Pentecost. Grab a concordance...the phrase appears often in the NT referring to events then current.
Your last paragraph has no bearing on my point. The Bible IS prophetic. We're not. I suspect we believe much the same things about the Tribulation. The difference is this: Jews in the 1st century were correct about many OT Messianic prophecies. But not all of them. Scholars have learned much since the Reformation. But they're still human.
Be careful of teaching what hasn't happened as fact, especially in specifics. And avoid partisan politics.
