Wow.
I like road trips. I have a song up on youtube about road trips.
Went on one today to pick up some specialty frozen meats at a country butcher about an hour away so two hours, for people who don't take th long way home like I always like to do
Beautiful day and it clears the mind and for me acts as a cleanser and adjuster.
I went by my favourite piece of road just east of our Niagara Escarpment , dives into a river valley then follows the river before starting its climb back up. I jogged through a gap between Mouint Nemo and Rattlesnake Point heading west past Highway 6 to Brock Rd...then south to Mordens a country butcher, where I picked up Berkshire Pork Sausages and Wild Boar Burgers.
Back went toward Dundas and Lake Ontario where I planned to eventually reclimb the escarpment to Waterdown and head back up via my favourite road back into Etobicoke, a western part Toronto bordering on Mississauga, wher my road trip ended
I come back to see the prophecy debate is on hot and the AC as defined by The Bible is imminent and will rise by taking economic control of the world
Sides are being taken on immenence and what it will look like
I think I have that right
For me, as an independent objective observer of what I believe is reality, I must leave room for those who live by what they perceive of as their reality
In what I believe to be my reality I must accept on faith some described abstract reality, so I cannot logically or fairly deny the faiths and beliefs of others. Religions are systems of belief
I've been told by Christians I will go to hell if I do not accept Christ wholly and faithfully ..well really in their fervour and need to live their beliefs they tell me this important part of their belief.
So I have to believe the For side of AC's coming is heavily invested as it comes from prophecy in the Bible as well.
The Faith is strong in that one as Yoda would say
The questioning and confused and rational and stunned WTF? side of AC's coming is by its nature varied simply because it is one narrow prophesied event vs the rest of the world
In what I believe to be my reality, AC's not imminent for more than just that you'd need a lot more than economic power to dominate the world. Political, military, and diffused control from the AC out...in a world of International Law where 196 sovereign countries exercise sovereign control over their territories ... You have to examine the dynamic to allow for an AC to arise I think, so if we look back into history it is an idea, an ideal that people organize around. I think The Bible warns of false prophets in the future and who might claim to be Christ, performing wonders. It also warns against those who deny God and Jesus
In the end, I'm not preoccupied with it and it means little to me and to those preoccupied by AC's imminent rise, I respect your decisions to live according to your beliefs...but do not expect me to decide as you do or live by your beliefs
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
