I think it's obvious that western ideals are leaning more toward global governance and control every day. However, I believe the US would rather be the center of global government rather than simply join in. It won't work though; Europe and eastern Asia are simply too large and self sufficient to even care what the US brings to the global table. So no global guv gonna work. Therefore no anti-Christ? No Armageddon? No more chicken-little / end-is-nigh posts from Tony? That's a relief.  I can stop stocking the basement with beef jerky and bottled water.
