But a priest giving up marriage and sex his whole life, if its not real, he wasted his life...many would feel, although he may have done some good as a counselor.

Yes it skews the odds, thats why they dont let you do it. But their concerns are highly over cautious cause i have never seen anybody make it work in modern day, in the old days yeah.
