Hey all. I'm new to the forums here, so here's my introduction...
My name is Zach, and I'm from the Mid-Michigan area. I currently live in Traverse City (North-west Lower Peninsula of MI) and let me tell you the job market and music scene leave a lot to be desired. Not to speak against all of the good people I have met while being up here, but I want to get out of Michigan!
The greater-Seattle area is one place I am looking at now, for a few reasons (I reserve the right to keep a few secrets but one of them being that I want to explore the Seattle/Pacific-Northwest music scenes.
I could be ready to move as early as Mid-March... have already registered with South Seattle Community College to possibly take classes beginning in April.
Anyways, I am a singer/songwriter... have been teaching myself how to play music since 2002 and have loved (almost) every minute of it. Bob Dylan has greatly influenced my habits since about 2007 or so, but I have lots of influences and lots of ideas. I'm not just limiting myself to an acoustic set with a harmonica... I would prefer to branch out and get myself into a few different kinds of projects.
Well I think that's enough for now... don't want to hog up all the real-estate!
If you have EVER known what it's like to want to move to a new place and meet new people and do everything that comes with "starting a new life" please contact me and don't be afraid to find me on Facebook (link below)! If I do make this move, it may or may not be alone. ESPECIALLY if I come out there alone, I will need to have some contacts made! Help me out if you are so inclined, and I will greatly appreciate the kindness! Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone!
