I'm new here, so just starting to feel my way around. I'm a very casual song writer (would be too embarrassed to share any of my stuff), but more importantly I've just started a website that I hope will be able to provide artists with free distribution.
It's all about fans supporting artists/bands by recommending and promoting them both on the site and off. It's totally free for everyone, sort of a wikipedia for music discovery.
Derek Sivers (the founder of CD Baby) recommended I come here to meet some artists who might benefit from the service and give me some feedback on it.
I guess I'll throw up another post to introduce myself outside of this thread. I don't want to be spammy, so let me know if I'm stepping over any lines at all.
