NOT being a money maker for the industry, I've never had anything but problems with ASCAP and to a lesser extent BMI (member).
This whole world of copywrites is a joke... but they/it CAN make life miserable.
I always root against ASCAP. I don't worry about creative people needing to be protected (for a FEE) in making money. If they're really creative, they'll make the bucks!
