You're riht, Cobber.
I double-checked and I did indeed misread your post..
You say tha the venue is responsible for the two dollars per song.
BUT, as I said earlier, ultimately that cost will be borne by either the entertainer, as the venue owner will pay that much less to the performer to cover his cost, or possibly decide that the cost is too great and forego live music completely.
In any case, I, as a lifetime performer, think the money belongs in the pocket(or purse) of the entertainer instead of the writer sitting on his duff somewhere.
