I said you fill in the playlist and send it however you wanna to whichever of your pros you choose and they do the paying.
Maybe if they were as good an artist as yourself, the writer could do that trick too Bob, but I see it they got off their butts enough within their field that the song got out there enough for you to drecide you could make a buck, be it ever so small, off it.
You gotta have the means to read your aggreements with both your pros Cobber, and sure that will clarify the proccedure for you.
I xcan only state how I understand it from reading APRA's conditions, and I haven't yet had a "You done it wrong" note from them, so I must be doing it somewhere right.
Mind you. The only cover I have ever sung was a parody of Uns Unchain My Heart, and I didn't know who wrote3 it so entered it as Joe Cocker.
Pretty sure APRA would have figured it same as they do when applying for a licience to record a cover and you don't know the writer, you just list the artist if you can't be bothered checking the credits down at the local record shop.
