This thread is way too long - I think I brought this one up about two pages ago. Also - if my memory is serving correctly, the issue was not that THE WHO didn't own the rights to their songs but that they did own the rights and were represented by the PRO. It was a situation where they could see the amount being paid in (a percentage of gross ticket sales) verses the amount that was going to come back out (their share of the general pool based on then current airplay), and the numbers were large enough to make an issue of it.
