Set Lists ?

I never used a set list in my life..Never !

My gigs were all stream of consciousness based on what the crowd was looking for that night...

I know a million friggin' songs..so I'm gonna have to limit myself to a particular bunch of songs on a given night ?

For crissakes that's ridiculous !

So answer my questions...

What about wedding gigs in a tent at somebodys house ?

I've worked hundreds of those on the North Shore....

And will one of you geniuses come forward and tell me how much I as a writer can expect to charge some poor schmuck musician per song ?

And, while we're at it..could ANYONE come forward to tell us how much they've collected ?

I'm gonna guess, not one of you...EVER !

So, how much is it...15 cents per song...a buck....10 bucks come on....how much does Tie A Yellow Ribbon cost me ?

Come on kids...Brian accused me of being negative when I suggested that time spent on arguments like this was time wasted...that the world is full of many things much more worthy of our concern.

Well....I'm proud to say it again.

If getting a dime a song from me for playing your dumb-ass song is this important to you, you suffer from severe tunnel vision and a self-fixation that is pathetic !

Go feed the poor, donate seeing-eye dogs to the blind...leave greed to Metallica and the rest !
