Brian,

To answer your questions...

Over the last 3 years I have performed in increasing numbers, 60 dates, 75 dates, to last year, approx. 80 dates. I am on a pace this year to perform 100-110.

I perform a revolving set list of 45 of my songs...some songs get the axe from time to time, (boredom, change of pace, they don't work in certain rooms etc..)

One point...on the online ASCAP application for the Plus Award, you run out of room after so many dates/songs/performances.

I have received $200.00 in awards from a pool of money that ASCAP puts aside for this program, that they claim is around 3 million dollars. The program is designed to get royalty monies into the hands of writer members who currently make less that $15,000 per year from songwriting royalties. I figure if I'm only getting $200.00 per year, even though I have had progressive activity each year, (airplay, TV appearances, and increased live dates), they must have a scale set up so that Joe Blow gets X amount for 20-100 performances a year, and so on. While I appreciate the award, when you look at it's design and how much money is said to be allocated for it, it really amounts to a token. I hope this info helps...
