Yeah mabe a known band may get the odd extra record sold via your doing a take on one of their songs Bob, but fo the just a writer, the royalty from the writing something that gets live play, is most often all they get.
And actually gettuing a royalty cheque no matter how small each year is akin to , but a long way from getting a cut.
So I think it is improtant the writer at least gets to know they are being heard somewhere, and then they can, if they choose put that play down o their returns from live performance sheet, and get their due at no cost to the artist.
Probably get the writer's undying gratatude too.
Especially if they have never had a royalty cheque.
It's sort of like a poor coisin to getting the first cut.
Well it was for me anyway.
Prettyn sure it works internationally.
Know it works within Australia as I have done it.
Will try Soundclick.
They have been upgrading the server Cobber.
Maybe they finally got it done.
Sure wish they had put a sign up telling us to save the effort as it didn't come up as a failed upload until it had wasted a half hour of our time evrey time we tried,
Nothing newie newie over on theory Cobber other than Mike going double flat out in his efforts to confuse poor old buggers like me.
And I think it's working too.
