As long as stuff relating to the situation is coming in Liszt, no issue is dead, and your offering is appreciated.
Have not read the article inthe click link yet, but will.
Just wanted to say I found your comments both enlightening and war4ming.
Your mate has had some success in his claim thannks to both his and the PRo pursuit of the issue, and that his material has been recorded without his consent sugests to me he will, if the issue is pursued, be sucessful in getting his due for the recording factor of the issue.
As I understand it. He already has their comformation it was in fact his material they did. He has already recieved his live performance dues from them doing that, and the performance was vidiod, so logic says theren is no way anybody can deny him his entitlement to his just reproduction rights here.
I would think the fact he was not given opportubity to agree to the initial recording, and so come up with a mutually agreed figure, he would be in a pretty good position to set his own price, within the bounds of what is right and fair of course, now it is in the can and selling well as you state.
No legal wizard, but that is how it seems to me.
Best of luck to yoiur friend in the issue.
Graham
