Hi, I have been a TAXI member for about a year now. Although I haven't gotten anywhere with my songs yet, I feel the investment is well worth it. I am a beginning songwriter and I have to say that the critiques I have received have been VERY helpful. The staff spends a lot of time giving their input, and they really are trying to help, IMO. I don't think it's a big deal to weed out the entries that don't provide critiques-- the words "NO CRITIQUES" are plain to see, and there are plenty of entries that do provide critiques. Also, I attended their TAXI Road Rally last November, -- 2 days of free songwriting workshops, advice from experts, demo critiques, and interesting panel discussions. I would value those two days at $300 alone. After a couple of years, I may decide TAXI is no longer worth it, but at this point I feel I'm getting a lot of valuable instruction.
