Frank, why don't you post the specific advertising that you are making reference to. I'd be happy to comment on something specific. Remember, this post was started by someone seeking feedback on Taxi. Michael Laskow is a good man, and if he were running a company for this long based on deceptive advertising practices, he'd be gone like Enron. We all know that musicians are too wise and too quick to share their experiences with one another. I took a look at their site, even clicked on the industry listings and I am unclear as to what you are basing your opinion on.

I think that virtually everyone at one time or another wants to be a star, or thinks that they are a star. I want to play with the Lakers, I have since I was a kid, but I'm 5'10 and older than Shaq, and have one of the ugliest jump shots you've ever seen. I actually got to shoot around with him one time at a recording studio, and he told me to go back inside immediately and call my boss and thank him for employing me.

Who has had the opportunity to see American Idol? I love the show. I love Simon… he's the only one with big enough cajones to say what everyone else is thinking. Whoever ultimately wins STILL might not make a blip on the radar screen, because who knows how long it'll take to make a record, and based on our collective attention spans, will we care about mainstream pop 9 months from now?
There is nothing wrong with being a wannabe, as long as you continue to learn and grow and don't stay a wannabe. Results speak for themselves.
