Dawg,
Something to remember... the people who seem to misunderstand the guidelines represent about 0.01% or less of the people who are or have been TAXI members. Find me any lyric that isn't misunderstood or disliked by more than 1/100th of 1 percent of the listeners?

In a world where people never learned how to program their VCR's in 20 years or who thought smoking was just fine for them because Tobacco companies said it was safe or who let OJ Simpson off, it's pointless to think ANY information, no matter how plainly stated will sink in to everyone. People usually read into and perceive what they WANT to hear long before they read in and perceive what was actually said.

I get emails on questions and info I answer directly from members on every single issue of our newsletter. For example, if I say "The music awards entry deadline is February 28th, 2002" I will get a response from 50 people saying "when is the deadline for entry into the music awards?" and a dozen of them will quote the text containing the actual answer in their reply. When I respond with both the answer and the question.. did you read the info you replied to? most admit they hadn't bothered to read it, some say they missed it and some are just embarassed that the answer was in their own reply but they just weren't paying any attention. It's something most of us do in different matters in our lives (including me) but what I DON'T do is blame the person who gave me the correct info which I chose to ignore or didn't bother to pay much attention to. I think most people would agree with that common sense approach. I have to wonder about those who don't and want to blame everyone on the planet for anything that happens to them except themselves.
