Larry,
I'm not watching AI this year (I've seen two shows, total), but I'm one of those folks that liked, and still likes, Disco. From your two lists (worst and liked) I like all but three of them, the first three on your worst list. I do not agree, however, that "anything" by The Village people and KC and the Sunshine Band is awful. They both had one or tewo that I liked.
"Copacabana", "Carwash" and "Conga" are three of my favorite songs. I's all a matter of taste. But since I was playing lead guitar in a country band from the 60s through tghe early 90s, even admitting that I had ever listen to a Disco song was consider near blasphemous! I generally like Disco music and enjoyed dancing to it. As I said, all a matter of personal taste.
Hope all is well in Santa Clarita. When I lived in Bakersfield, we went through Santa Clarita almost every month enroute to the Ventura County fairgrounds. That's a real pretty valley between Santa Clarita and Ventura. We usually stopped at the Taco Bell in Santa Paula (Highway 126, I think) and had lunch on the way daown.
Take care, all the best.
Alan
