Well.. I am not unhappy with the 2 they booted. Jasmine might not have been the worst of the night, but she was so horrible in the Round of 36 that she never should have been advanced to the wild card round in the first place. And Jorge was also not deserving but they claimed he was voted in via popular vote. Really? Then why was he gone so fast? The whole thing seemed pretty suspect.
The good news is 2 of the 5 weakest are gone. Scott, Meagan and Anoop will be the cannon fodder over the next 3 weeks. The early cream of the crop are Adam, Danny, Alison, Lil and Alexis. Perhaps one or two of the other guys will perform to their potential and break out of the middle of the pack.
The new rule Kristi is simply that they can "save" a contestant 1 time during the season if they unananimously (i.e. all 4 but more likely the producers) agree on the vote. They can only do it one time and only up until the final 5. They claim that they want to avoid having someone voted off like Hudson, Daughtry or JPF Member Johns from last season. But I remember the year Jennifer Hudson was ousted I was a huge supporter of her and said she should make it to the finals, but the judges reamed her week after week until she was gone. They are trying to revise history with this whole thing just because she made them all look really stupid. It was obvious at the time they didn't want her to go on... she was the cream of the crop that season to anyone paying attention. This will do 1 thing.. it will give a slim amount of hope to those voted off so that when they sing their final song, they have a glimmer of hope and thus might perform better. But I still can't believe they are having them do the very songs that got them voted off.. if they sucked that bad why are we forced to hear that bad song again.. why don't they let them do their best songs up to that point from any time in the season? Some day they will figure that out.
