I actually liked Anoop in the run up shows, but I didn't think he sang very well on Tuesday. I wasn't surprised he didn't make it, but if you based it solely on quality of singing, Ricky was better than all of them. Tatiana was a close second on the female side though she had a few bad moments as well. I don't disagree that Ricky was forgettable, but pretty much any of them would have been if you'd ONLY seen that 1 single performance and a few seconds showing they'd made the finals. I actually would have rather seen Tatiana make it to the finals if only because she actually seems to WANT it and so often the contestants seem like automatons rather than breathing people who WANT something... and she was able to sing well to back up the desire. Several of the singers that performed were embarrassing. In fact, we just did a show in DC last week and several of those singers would have finished behind most of the performers that night... How they made the Top 36 out of the entire country is puzzling? Anyone can have a bad night, but most of those performers were bad on Tuesday night.
I don't think Alexis is in the same league as Pink, but she was the most deserving female that night.
