Alexis was cute and ok as a singer, but it's pretty obvious that several of the guys blow her away vocally. She was never going to be an idol even though she may still make a record with someone. The judges were right to hold onto their "save" until they can use it for someone who has a serious shot at the #1 spot.

I think Megan is pretty attractive as well, and she has learned how to flirt with the camera. I would have MUCH preferred that Scott go over Alexis, but he'll be gone pretty soon.

I'll go out on a limb and say the idol this year will be a male. Lil Round, Allison and Megan are the 3 gals left and none of them are outstanding as idols, although Allison definitely has a future in the music biz. I think there are too many strong males and not an outstanding clear-cut female lead. Adam is in a vocal league of his own, with Matt, Anoop, Kris, and Danny strong contenders.

I think tonight was the best I've ever heard Carrie sound. She was breathtakingly beautiful both to look at and to listen to. It was a great tear-jerker of a country song she sang with Randy Travis - very moving.

What ever happened to Faith Hill? She was the #1 country diva until Carrie started winning all the CMA awards.
