The've always used clever and legal ways to manipulate the results, but it's never been so obvious as this year. I think in part that may be because no one except Kara seems to even be trying (though I must say that Paula has been the more accurate judge during the final weeks.. shocking as that seems) and perhaps they are just so burned out they don't care. Once you've become world famous and have pretty much any project you want to work on pre-green lighted and you have multiple truck loads of cash, I can see that it might get a bit boring.

Adam is the most talented vocalist, but he's very cabaret/theatrical and would be better suited for that scene or to front an art rock band or something similar. Danny sings well but he's nearly identical to that gray haired guy who won (totally forgetting his name.. which by itself sort of makes my point) and was never heard from again commercially. They seem determined to make sure that Alison doesn't do well even though I'd sign her WAY before any of the others. And no one else has enough talent to sustain an AI type career outside of Kris and I am not sure how long he'll be around. And I think his strength in a John Mayer type and it will all depend, in the long term, if he can write his own songs. Otherwise he'll suffer from credibility issues in that scene. (After all, why listen to him to covers when you have John Mayer writing his own hits).
