April 14- This is the way I heard it- best to worst: Adam, Anoop, Allison, Danny, Chris, Matt and Lil rounding out the bottom.

Allison ("I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing") sounded like Kelly Clarkson did after too many weeks stressing her voice in that first season. But she delivered anyway. Annop (Everything I Do) had the most uniform, pitch perfect night I can remember from any contestant on any show. Danny (Endless Love) was solid as ever, but wavered a bit in the low register. Adam (Born to be wild) rocked the house and is unstoppable. Lil' Round (The rose) and Matt(Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?) made the same mistake, taking a beautiful melody and screwing in up with pretentious and poorly executed 'soul'. The bell will toll for Lil round and Matt soon. Chris' performance (Falling Slowly) was curiously forgettable- I could barely remember his song. He reminds me of that kid on campus that plays at the local coffee house and draws a good crowd on the weekends. There is a lot of potential hiding there but it's all up to him. If he stays the same, he will be gone in 3 weeks behind Lil round and Matt.

No judge in their right mind will save Lil Round. She has blown it for 6 weeks in a row. The save will be for Allison who is right now AI's money girl for a recording contract. She has been in the bottom 3 twice before so obviously the unwashed masses don't quite get her- but I think the judges do.

Adam will win this thing. What I like most about him is that he acknowledges the contribution of the folks who perform with him. The back up singers and the musicians love him. On stage, he is an 'event'. He has a big heart and is musically generous- if that makes sense. Play back his version of 'Born to be Wild' and watch the band- they loved it. He is going to have the biggest tour draw since the Eagle's Hell freezes over tour.
