Everett, It's still early in the month. When new songs are moved or entered to a channel, it seems to shift everything around, but I think on the 15th of each month, they don't allow new additions and I believe sometime after (maybe when the quarter finals start), you can't withdraw songs from the contest channel either. Within the next week the rankings should start stabilizing.
It would be nice if once you reach a certain rank, if it could stay there or go higher, but not go lower again, but that might require a different vote ranking algorithim. I wonder if they might consider that some day, but it might not be practical because everyone has to "fit" somewhere between #1 and the last song in the bunch.
