I like this original demo I uploaded but I know it could be better in Suno. I've tried lots of things but it keeps adding strings and harmonies that I don't want. anyone wanna take a stab at it to just make it sound more "solid"? Think Trisha Yearwood etc. Thanks Kay-lynn https://suno.com/s/BYavcx7GmCTeWSkL

I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out!!! The chorus sounded great and the instruments were certainly better, but somehow the melody got lost as the song went on, not sure how that happens. And I really liked the toy piano intro from my original so I was trying to keep that in there somewhere. What words in the style box did you give Suno , just curious.
It's very kind for you to give it a shot for me!! thanks xoxo

You should be able to find them on the Suno page I pointed you to. Let me know if you can't find them.
Produce a modern country-pop song with country rock elements, Vocals: strong, emotive, with melodic phrasing, Lyrics about love, friendship, or self-discovery, Instrumentation: electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, light drums, pedal steel, Emotion: warm, sincere, and contemporary, No strings, Defiant build up to verse 3, gentle on last chorus

I like where this is going...I want more contrast between parents and child and hit your innocence hard. You are a 10 year old
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

IMO pleasant and easy drift about an alternate universe where life's mundane issues and pressures fade away. Nicely presented, current and relatable.
"If I be Barbie, will you be Ken"
IMO I had to look at that twice to make sure that I was reading it right. I think that it trips-up and slightly snags the flow of your lyrical scenario and message.
I suggest,
"I'll be Barbie, if you'll be Ken"
Regarding your version versus Rob's?
I prefer yours. Rob leads in with heavy steel, which, to my ear, stamps the song as trad country. You lead in with a fairly delicate piano and soft strings.
Your version is country sounding, but the singer and music sound less moulded-by-the-machine. To my ear, more sincere, individualistic and story-teller.
All of the above is one person's opinion

hey Sunset guy, thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it. As far as the weird line, that's because it's the actual thing my daughter said to me when she was about 8 and her brothers didn't wanna play barbie with her, so she asked me.. "If I be Barbie, will you be Ken".. cus that's how 8 year olds talk lol

"If I be Barbie, will you be Ken".. cus that's how 8 year olds talk lol I completely understand something personal such as that, and your right to write your song however you choose. My comment is based on a hypothetical situation that I have always observed when writing Americana, or country-ish tunes. "If a fifteen year old girl is doing her laundry in the trailor park laundromat, while listening to your song playing on a radio in the background...and she has to stop and think about what something in the lyrics meant ...the lyric has an error in it." All that is a paraphrase of "conversational." All that aside, your song sounds pleasant and like it was done by an informed songwriter. Have a nice Sunday. Sunset Guy

I totally get what you're saying Sunset guy, for sure. And 99% of the time I would agree with you, except this time she's channeling the way she spoke as a child.

Kay-Lynn,
I listened to both yours version and Rob's, Nothing wrong with his version, but the version you have run sounds to me to fit your lyric much better. I haven't been a Suno user very long either so I can't tell you much about how to make it just like what you want. Maybe you can keep on trying. Still a nice lyric. My best to you Tex

Those are very creative Tex, but if it doesn't follow my melody it's not my song anymore. Sorry
