I don’t understand the popularity of a tribute band. One of my favorite bands in the 1960’s was The Ventures. Loved Nokie and the gang. I was thrilled to see them once. None of the original members are still alive. If a Venture tribute band were playing in my area, I would have no interest in hearing them. Just not the real thing. I feel the same way about AI created music. I want to hear the real thing. If a band is good enough to emulate a famous band, then they should be good enough to do their own thing. Same with songwriters & composers. John

Yup, there's a fine between real and "artificial" ...............
AI can never write my melodies, not ever. I wouldn't allow it. Never will. I know it's fun for ppl, and that's kewl have fun.
I think it's just make original music stand out even more, because AI is just copying what's already out there and face it, we already get that with real songwriters just copying other people.
So it's all good for me and other melody and lyric writers!

Understood Kay-lynn. I mostly have problems with the creation process. Not as much with the production process. But yes, there's a fine line.
BTW, I liked your new photo. But it disappeared.
Best, John

This casino i live by always has them , Willie Nelson last month , Taylor swift this month , whatever it’s a living. As soon as they figure holograms to shine on stages , you’ll have these AI bands selling out shows . it'll be a spectacle that folks will be curious on .
