Hi Mike,
Now see.....that's why I admire you so much.....not only are you incredibly talented.....you are also so wonderful about sharing your knowledge! Thank you for that. Believe me....with your meticulous attention to detail.....I know that every little "touch" is carefully thought out by you! That is what makes your work such a delight for the listener.
You and Kristi have a beautiful and very sensuous song here....and I'm certain LOTS of couples are grateful for the additional length! lol !!
I always look forward to work from you two. You personify "top notch".
My best to you, Gail
Hi Gail, I actually do my vocals the way Stanley Kubrick edits film, a line at a time, and I do about ten to twenty takes for each line...What is interesting is...Afterwards...I can then sing the song "straight through" much better than when I was recording it, and it's because I've listened to the final vocals so many times that they're ingrained in my memory, and all I am doing is "reproducing, from memory" the recording of them that's in my head! And, you know what? It works. I recommend this method of singing for everybody: composite your perfect vocal from various "takes", then store that "perfect take" into memory . Then when you sing it, just rely on your memory of that perfect take. Thanks again, Gail. Mike
