Obama uses the expression "truth decay," which pretty much sums up what I'm always banging on about here, alternately boring and annoying you all, and on occasion, no doubt managing to do both.

"Truth Decay...?"
It's gonna' take a lot more than Jo Biden and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to wash Obama out of my mouth!

I don't think Obama came up with the phrase, but it's a really useful expression for what we are seeing, not just here in the US, but all over the world. An indication of how far this has gone is that NewsMax is now siphoning off a lot of Fox News viewers. The dynamic in its demographic has evolved from supply side disinformation, where a constant stream of falsehoods creates an audience demand, to demand side disinformation, where an audience craves falsehoods that fit with what they need to hear and goes looking for a new source when the original disappoints. In this imaginary universe, Biden didn't win the election, and no prizes for guessing who is tweeting NewsMax a lot these days smile

This is a really hard discussion to have because everyone seems to believe that everyone else is brainwashed.

You are a riot Gavin! If the numbers don't add up then the controls are wrong. If we disagree then somebody is brainwashed. If someone says the same thing over and over again then it must have been taken out of context. If the news is biased then that's just supply and demand...

Let's start another control, shall we? Please answer this question: 1+1=?
