True story... Max, Dixie, and Desiree were a trio. Max was a good boy, he would always stand guard close to home. Dixie, however, figured out that, with enough patience, she could chew and unravel the bottom of a chain link fence! SHE WOULDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO DIG. Anyway, the girls liked to get out and terrorize the neighborhood whenever nobody was watching. On such occasions I would tell Max to get his leash and we would go after them. Max could always sniff them out, I would call out "Dixie" and Max would bark and pull me in the right direction. This became something of a routine and I could tell that Max really enjoyed it. Well, one day I was out back barbecue'n some chicken and, of course, realized that the girls had gone missing again. Not wanting to leave my fire unattended, I looked over at Max and asked, "Where's Dixie?" Max's ears popped up as he lifted his head and looked at me. Then I asked, "Where's Desiree?" Now Max is on his feet with his head cocked to the right waiting for a command. Then I said, "Go get'em boy!" Sure enough, five minutes later he rounded the girls up and brought them home. His chicken dinner that evening was well deserved and I never had to go chasing after the girls again smile
