Last night I watched some FOX. Hannity had on a woman who claimed to have infiltrated antifa as a spy. She said that they were organized and funded anarchists...and that their stated goal was the overthrow of the US govt by violence or any other means. IF IF IF that is true, then they are a "terrorist organization."
As for me, being governed by reason and evidence...and having no way to personally be certain of what they are...like many people...I am waiting to see what evolves. The FCC has already threatened license action against broadcasters airing "distorted" content. No more Rachel Madden. We'll all have to watch Fox News or other pro-Trump news channels in the future. According to the playbook, websites with "distorted" content will follow. Just like in Germany 100 years ago, well, not with the internet, but newspapers. Like in Russia, China, North Korea today. Some time between 2005 and 2006, Obama did a 180 on illegal immigration. (follow this Rob) He went from denigrating it as the exploitation of cheap foreign labor by greedy CEO white men, that undermined the livelihoods of his constituency (He was right about that) to making illegals and their advocates part of his coalition of oppressed people.
When he flipped on it and made it part of a coalition that sought to bleach my brain's contents and replace them with a distorted perception of the world called "political correctness." Anyone who bucked this perception was a "hater" and to be figuratively castigated and stoned. I dont give blind approval to anyone. I watch the pendulum swing and realize that nothing is ever perfect. I've learned not to hang on every occurrence from hour to hour. It is clear that Trump floods the zone to keep the opposition busy, distracted and as unhinged as possible... it works.
I say things that I truly believe regarding TDS. Based upon what has been written here I genuinely believe that Rob, and to a lesser extent, yourself, have TDS. That is not dehumanizing you all. That is stating a genuine belief. If we met in person, in the fall, and you were running a fever of 101F and had body aches, I would assume that you had the flu. Chances are that I would be correct....but not dehumanizing.
"Same level?"... there is no keeping it at the same level. Rob referred to my post as "stupidty" just a few posts back, and then immediately started in on what a brute that I am. My take is that he was setting a mouse-trap and once sprung, then that turned into ankle biting.
THE TAKEAWAY... Political discussions are too hot to manage. In Trump world they are red hot. Everyone has their version of what they think is a polite level of discourse. They inevitably, occasionally exempt themselves from their own rules. And it is very unlikely that everyone in the conversation can gage the moving target that is everyone else's personal guidelines for an acceptable conversation. So, if you engage poltical discussions, they are going to run hot and get out of control. Be ready for that. Kid yourself but that is a fact.
I have looked at some of the discourse on REDDIT. Never engaged. If you want to lay it out in a place dedicated to political discourse where you can say , pretty much, whatever you want about Trump, look there.
As I said, I am not going to widen the acrimonious stupidity that I engage in here beyond the two trolls, Tony and Dom.
I argue with two trolls about garbage and their dysfunctional idiocy and with you about Trump and the anti-Trump statements that you post.
To argue means to exchange or express diverging or opposite views. Sorry, but some people here claim they argue with others, but they actually don’t. One can only argue if the others are willing to.
Some people here claim I seem to be a very touchy person. Jumpy and reactive when they see something counter to what I want to believe. Well, these people are touchy persons as well. They make very personal comments, when I post stuff that is counter to what they believe. They claim, I’m constantly bashing Trump, which I'm not. And even if I did bash Trump, does that give them the right to bash me and say I have mental problems? Is it not possible to talk about topics without getting personal?
I’m currently in Europe and I can say that hardly anybody here has ever heard of Charlie Kirk. Europeans can’t understand the hype that is being made around Kirk, an influencer. What happened was tragic, but didn’t Kirk say “President Joe Biden is a corrupt tyrant who should honestly be put in prison and/or given the death penalty for his crimes against America.” Is that hate speech? Some people say it’s not. Compare that to what Kimmel said. Kimmel didn’t even say anything negative about Kirk. It was the Trump video that made people (especially Trump) mad. Kimmel showed how a reporter asked Trump how he was holding up over the last day (the day after the shooting). Trump’s response was “I think very good and by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House”. No condolences from Trump to Kirks family, etc. He just changed the subject. Now Kimmel is supposed to apologize and donate to Charlie Kirk’s family. What for? I’m probably going to be grilled for this post. I’d just like to say that I didn’t bash Trump or anybody else here. I’d love to discuss and even argue over political topics here. But if anybody gets personal, I won’t respond.

I thought to myself...Regarding this reaction, the punishment does not fit the crime. In fact, there was no crime. Just absurd jesting. It looks pathological. Rob appears extremely high strung and agitated. His agitation appears to have attached itself to Trump as a cause and will ultimately transfer itself to me for any disagreement that I have with him regarding Trump.
I'm not making that up. I should have never debated Trump with you after that. I did and I regret it. Now I'm done with it.

John, you don’t have to go to The Netherlands to find something funny. Sometimes all you have to do is listen closely to what Mr. Trump himself says. At first, I laughed about this video but then, closer to the end, I just felt sad for our country. This is the guy who is putting tariffs on all those other countries and he apparently doesn’t know how to calculate percentages.
