Sonically great. Love the bottom on this, and the bit's of wah'd-out electric in the right channel are really nice. Musically a little loose at times. Lyrically allusive and a bit disturbing, but that seems to be your default style. Sometimes it works for me, other times not. ALl-in-all, it makes me wonder what the "something else" is that's on the singer's mind.

Japov,
You are the real deal when it comes to Rock music. What I like most about your music style is your arrangements have that sharp edginess and awesome "drive," yet a clarity that many cannot achieve given these type tracks. I think you've made your lyrical point clearly as to how you feel for sure and done so boldly. As always a great listen musically, and your vocals also fit the vibe quite well.

Clarity! Some of my favorite bands; RUSH, Yes, Pink Floyd, Styx, Supertramp... Clarity is a great compliment Thanks Eddie PS: I really don't try to make "rock" music... it just comes out that way lol

Knowing how you feel (differently than me) about certain topics on non-MP3-song-threads, if I think I am understanding you to be abstracting those ideas through the lens of poetic language, it creates a confused response in me, such as having to separate my appreciation of the "writing as writing," from the gist of what I percieve the writing to be saying. But please understand I LOVE having that confused ("a bit disturbing") response. It takes me out of the usual half-asleep way I process so much "art" these days and I appreciate that. It just can make knowing what to say about it difficult, at times.

Don't hold back Mike, I can take it Not what I meant at all. There's critiquing the ideas, and critiquing the writing. In the MP3 forum I am only going to want to critique the writing. It's not the place to go into our differences of opinion about various subjects, and even if you'd be okay with it, I wouldn't. It's those differences of opinion that can make me feel "confused" at times, by the writing. Sometimes it's hard for me to separate the merit of the writing from the ideas contained therein. That's all.

I can appreciate that. Dom is actually right {*gag!}. The more time I spend arguing in the "peanut gallery" the less time I spend recording... However, I freely admit... the only reason I do it is because I'm guilty of attention seeking behavior. And because I can lol

Life finds a way to change our thinking, and from time to time great art in any of its forms (storytelling, songwriting, film, etc.) can, too. That's why Jesus loved Him some parables. I am open to the possibility that your Art can change me.

HA! The only change I would look forward to (in anyone) is a sincere appreciation for everyone's right to live as they please. Freedom is agreeing to disagree... but government has gotten itself into the business of dictating morality... But I digress... lol

Among the best I have heard from you Tony Yes "clarity" is an apt description as is "clean"....nothing is buried "muddying" up the background Maybe you should always wear headphones when mixing Good dialogue in the thread too. I write about the bigger ideas behind the words....instead of stories....and you simply cannot do that without going through your own lens. And you have the artistic freedom not to care "what your audience thinks" because you do this for joy and the craft and not money. That would make you a slave to what your audience wants from you Then you would have to be more careful of what lyric you write overtop that errrrr It isn't rock I just wrote it that way
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
