Enjoy hearing the synths. And Solaria, of course. You are getting so damn good with making her phrasings sound realistic. I've been getting a girl group sound with her in her higher Dolly Parton voice, running Lana Del Rey vocal cords through her as well (via LALALS). Your use is a much cooler sound, for sure. I'd buy an album containing songs like this and especially "Moving On." I like your prog bone connected to your metal bone. I'm not gonna attempt to understand this lyric, but have to love a line like "In vitro ersatz gynoforgery " for the sheer audacity of it. Enjoying this!

Musically this is one of my faves of yours. The AI voice seems to have freed up a lighter touch to your production. It works well here because the ethereal slightly detached quality fits so well with the lyrics and the music. She comes across as a voice in the head of the person you're taunting. Which brings me to the lyric. With its taunting mockery, casual cruelty, othering and weird obsession with transgenderism, it has all the makings of a modern conservative anthem. Putting it in the voice of a woman claiming that she is being humiliated and put down is clever. I have never met a woman who felt humiliated by this, so for me it rings false, but it's still a clever device. I agree with Mike - "In vitro ersatz gynoforgery" is a great line. A lot to hate and admire in this. You are never dull, Tony

What you have written, here, is, IMO, not only excellent writing but the content rings true in today’s society and needs to be said. Really good stuff.
I’m still not big on the AI.....it’s a good...not great voice but then that will evolve....for me it’s about the lack of emotion in the voice...
I think I am beginning to decipher your lyrics much better now...I’m 70% sure I understand 80% of what you write 65% of the time...LOLOL

I think what Gavin forgets is what he can't forget. We know Tony a little bit.
To a casual listener who doesn't know Tony, even if that listener were liberal in ideology, I am not sure that casual listener comes away thinking these thoughts represents the WRITER'S true feelings. So often in pop and rock idioms the singer is acting a part, playing a role. That way, singing in the first person becomes a very powerful thing. We can hate the guy the singer represents, but know he's just acting a part.
So maybe, Gavin, we are at an advantage (knowing Tony a little) that is really a disadvantage, in that we think these thoughts to be truly Tony's. And they very well may be. But my point is that if we DIDN'T, we might think it's satire, or that the singer is a flawed character of some kind.
So I guess I am trying to learn to listen to Tony as if I knew nothing about him. That opens me to having a more "entertaining" take on some of his more difficult lyrics, and reading it the way anyone would who came across a song with a lyric that was seriously biased in one way or another.
I don't think Tony would care if we disliked this character or these thoughts the character expresses.
I agree with Steve to the extent that it's important to say things that are in the public consciousness. They can start conversations, and people can end up a little wiser for the journey...maybe.

For me, it's a kind of stream-of-consciousness (albeit poetic) rant that works with Solaria, cuz I am convinced she is of Germanic origins and simply sounds cool and a bit aloof without a lot of coaxing. She's just naturally got shades on.

"Germanic..." You may be right, Mike. Some of her enunciations are rather hard... guttural I hope you have discovered the "note properties" column (in Synth V) where you can have complete control over every word by selecting/highlighting the word, then under "phonemes," changing the length and strength of every element going into that word. This was a game changer for me. The word "hard" for instance has 8 ways to tweak Sol's actual speaking or singing of that word: STRENGTH: hh 0 to 200% aa 0 to 200% r 0 to 200% d 0 to 200% and duration: hh 0 to 200% aa 0 to 200% r 0 to 200% d 0 to 200% --default settings are 100% for all 8 elements. --so in other words, say you're not hearing the "r" in "hard" --you can tweak the strength and duration of the "r" until you're getting the results you want.

Hmmmm... gonna' have to play with that, thanks!
I've been creating midi melody files and then typing in the lyrics a syllable at a time, phonetically when necessary. Then, manually correcting for pitch/inflection with the pencil tool.
That can be tedious...

That can be tedious... This can be far less tedious in many circumstances: 1) Write ALL the words into the very first note that will be sung in a legato phrase. It may be a line or two of a verse. Something like that. 2) Then for each word after that first note (with all the words in it) you only need to use "+" and "-" aka plus and minus symbols to have all connected notes that follow the first note have the correct syllable associated with that note. "Plus" notes are NEW syllables, "minus" notes hold a syllable and slur the note to a new note. Take the first line of "Free Bird" that has examples of both: You write "if I leave here tomorrow" into the very first note, then the next note gets a "plus" for the word "I" --then the next note gets a minus indicating the word "I" slides up but holds the "I" ...then the next note gets a plus, triggering the new syllable/word "leave" --followed by a new note with a "minus" indicating "leave" holds into a new note (that slides down in the song). "Here" gets a plus, as do all the syllables in "tomorrow" as there is exactly one note sung for each syllable. It sounds difficult when I explain it, lol, but give this a try, it has made the process of connecting words to notes far less tedious, as I just need to write the words once, into the first note box. This is not to say that a lot of "fine tuning" won't follow, lol...much manual note correction seems needed, especially with Sol's "power" or "passionate" tweaked high. She tends to stab at notes, especially if they don't have a long duration.

Yeah', I saw that tutorial... I've found Sol's "automatic renditions" to be a bit exaggerated. But, if you go ahead and type everything in syllable by syllable, not only is she more "tame", but editing the timing of syllables is easier. Voice recognition software would certainly speed things up! Just sing into the machine

Oh good, at least you're aware of that technique. Yeah, phonetic spelling works to "brute force" her pronunciation to what we want. I end up doing that a lot as well. And when that doesn't work, sometimes I double click above a note and change the offending phoneme.
