John....not much has changed.... LOL.... lots of guys cannot play to a click it messes with their mind....those that do have to be admired. It is a bit like patting your head and rubbing your chest at the same time......few can pull it off. I suppose learning how to cope with clicks is all just part of the learning curve and down to experience. I know a few drummers most are pretty good by anybody's standards but keeping metronome time needed to layer is all but impossible.....love em or hate em clicks are necessary. Personally singing with or without a click does not bother me either way I still sing out of time regardless.
