I lay around all day in the shade Go in, go out, I got it made I got a job in security I sleep on the porch, don't take it seriously I keep my nose to the ground, alert for crime When I hear a sound, I wait for a sign to look Up and think, should I chase Or if I do will my human get on my case Like she does when I beg and I give her sad eyes Then I cock my head and I get a surprise XXXX Gotch XX Like when she'll Throw a stick and fetch she'll say But I prefer the game of keep away It's so fun to watch her run around and not complain I know how to jerk her chain I got her trained
My human loves me She's my best friend My human loves me Doesn't keep me penned Lets sleep all day Makes me smile when she wants to play She makes good company My human loves me
I've got some friends in the neighborhood We run around, get into no good One is Fido, the other one's Spot They don't look like much and they're all I got We like to dig up flowers in the neighbor's yard Eat their catfood for hours, life is so hard And we lick our lips and rest awhile My friends chase cars but that ain't my style I get to ride in a Plymouth with my head in the wind When we go to the river, I get to jump in I know S-W-I-M Swim I also do sit and I comprehend "No" But only what and where and when I want so You see I know a few tricks, I got a brain My human's not so hard to entertain I got her trained
My human loves me Takes me everywhere My human loves me Loves to brush my fluffy hair Always thinks I'm so cute Likes to kiss my snoot She makes good company
My human loves me She keeps me off the leash My human loves me Serves me steak, sometimes quiche My life is so cool Never had to go to that dumb dog school She makes good company My human loves me
