I had a dream About a suit size 13 A vintage all-weather With corinthian leather A lavender piece of work Made me look like a jerk Jonesin' like some fool Missed the bus to the old school So I set out this morning With very little warning And a vision of grandeur For a new look de rigeur I found the answer A little trendy enhancer In a throwaway bin That delivered me from sin
Some say a man without style Is a man full of hurt But I feel no pain in my Snappy new thrift store t-shirt
Well I'm not opposed To expensive new clothes But my shirt exceeds All others in deeds With its vintage silk screen print On aqua marine tint I'm a rebel with panache In my cold machine wash
Some say a man can't survive On only dessert But I take the cake in my Sassy new thrift store t-shirt
And I'm wearing it well Out from my Tommy Boy shell Everyone is ditching the cat walk And living to tell
Well some tell the future By learning the past The mistakes that were made The successes that last Like Klein and Armani Chanel, Rebagliati Donatella and Gianni And the Family Versace All bellwethers to be sure Of the new haute couture To each his own forte In the old pret-a-porte
If the clothes make the man Then I'm better off wearing a skirt But I found religion in my Brand new thrift store t-shirt

"The standard by which I now measure the things in my life is the following: If I was on my death bed, or if I knew I had a short time to live, would this issue be important? If the answer is no.. I don't sweat it at all. If the answer is Yes, you better believe it goes to the front of the order of today's business!" -Brian Austin Whitney
