Where's the song? Man, even Marty said it was good. I can't find it. Poof! One last thing Rob, you told me that you did not want me to comment on any more of your threads. That is strident, yet with no provocation or prompting you call my name out. As I have told you, you do not adhere to your own required rules. Headed out for a while. xoxo Marty

I can answer that. A complete answer is more detailed than what you're making it sound like.
#1. You now list Indiana, along with Florida, along with Germany as your past and present places of residence, or birth. BUT, what you actually display in your avatar is only Germany. anyone looking at it would reasonably assume that you live in Germany, and are very possibly German.
RULE#1 OF LIFE- What people actually do is much more telling than all the stuff they rattle off to explain what they do.
#2 Many of your previous political posts have been Eurocentric. For example, when Charlie Kirk died, you stated that the Germans didn't even know who he was, with the clear implication that no one who matters believes that Charlie Kirk was someone who matters. (I suspect that you will deny that now)
You have peppered this site with what the Europeans think about Trump and his tariffs and his authoritarianism, his fascism and all the other MSNBC talking points. You caught my eye once, when you wrote “the American President,” in reference to Trump. That seemed like the viewpoint of a foreigner. Over here we just say, "the president," because we're here.
Those things taken together would lead a reasonable person to conclude that regardless of wherever you may have lived, your primary allegiance is Germany and Europe. In your writings, you appear to favor calling yourself a European and seeing the world as a European.
Even your new bestie Tony, derogated you as a “German Activist” only a couple of days ago.
As for me, I am a big fan of European history. With a lot of nasty bumps it carried the torch from the Roman empire, through Christendom, into the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and evolved into the Western world that I feel very fortunate to live in now. But it is also a history riddled with countless nightmares of wars and human atrocities. The takeaway? I value the opinion of a solid Texas citizen much more than a random Frenchman. BTW, your beloved Germany tried to subjugate all of Europe twice, only one century ago. I definitely wouldn’t rattle around there asking random people for life advice.
#3 Lastly, in one of your hair-afire Trump bashes months ago, when Trump started rounding up illegals, I recall you stating that you were at risk of being rounded up because you did not know if you had the proper papers to prove-up your American citizenship.
I remember thinking…How TF is that? Was this guy born in a barn in the deep woods northeastern Arkansas, or is his US citizenship questionable. The phrenetic tone of some of your posts seemed to indicate some details may be out of view.
And as far as "wandering into politics"...you are the sites unappointed Rachel Maddow. You rattle MSNBC talking points often and have even advocated for people to listen to Maddow on this in order to get the real truth. You are ever-ready to wander into politics, which is actually Trump-bashes.
Auf Wiedersehen, Marty Marty, Your post confirms exactly what I’ve been saying — this forum keeps veering away from music into personal attacks and politics because some people just can’t stay focused on the music. This is an international forum. I’m not interested in justifying where I live or have lived or debating my citizenships. I’ve lived in far more places than you mentioned, and I’ll change the location in my avatar next week when I’m back in the U.S., as I’ve done before. None of that has anything to do with songwriting or with what I posted in this thread. I’m here to share songs, give feedback, and enjoy creative exchange. I’d appreciate it if you’d keep it on that level, but for some reason you can’t.

It doesn’t happen often that you give Dom’s songs such positive feedback. I wanted to listen to it but the song is gone.

Auf Wiedersehen, Marty Marty, Let me clarify a few things since you’ve made several assumptions about me. My background: Yes, I’ve lived in Germany for over 50 years and now divide my time between there and the U.S. I’m a dual citizen, and none of that is particularly relevant to songwriting. Political posts: It’s true that I’ve shared perspectives from both sides of the Atlantic. That’s not “Eurocentric” — it’s simply acknowledging that people in other countries see things differently. I didn’t spread misinformation, just shared observations. Allegiance: You see the world as an American; I sometimes see it through an international lens. That’s not a problem — it’s diversity of experience. Tony's insults: I've seen his name calling. Have you ever noticed what he calling you? You're not much better than Tony is when it comes to name calling. History lesson: You’re describing events that happened long before either of us were born. I don’t hold you responsible for what the U.S. did a century ago, so let’s not pretend national history defines individuals today. Politics and opinions: I share my opinions openly, and you do the same. That’s what free speech is about. The key is keeping it respectful — disagreement is fine; personal attacks and insults are not. At the end of the day, I’m here for songwriting and creative exchange. Everything else is secondary. So, explain to me again, what was your post about?

This isn't even your thread... Tony, disagreement is fine. Personal attacks and insults are not. I'm just clarifying several assumptions Marty made. Don't blame me, man. I didn't make any assumptions.

"Allegiance: You see the world as an American; I sometimes see it through an international lens. That’s not a problem — it’s diversity of experience."
Bingo Rob,
Therein lies the rub. I have 4 social media sites. I do not post anything about Trump or any politician or political events. It’s poison to relationships in a country that is stridently divided. The fact that it is allowed to go on here is idiocy to me.
BE ADVISED: If I see your “political international perspective” being posted here, in the usual form of Trump bashings, undercuts, whatever…I will respond to them, at whim, with no concern whatsoever for what you regard as appropriate boundaries. This site professes Freedom Of Speech. I have no intention of dropping punches below the belt, but getting banned from here is no longer a concern to me either.
As far as name calling, I recall ROBETTE and AUNTIE FA. You earned those. You played a mousetrap game with me one night, attempting to paint me into a corner where I had to admit that antifa was a righteous cause. The names are fine.
As far as your “HISTORY LESSON,” Yes, the wars of the 20th century are over and we are now allied and friendly with erstwhile enemies. But, after reading about the atrocities committed by the Japanese throughout their region, I will never really have completely open arms.
My grandmother was a German immigrant who came in at Galveston and settled in West Texas with my grandfather, making me ¼ German descent.
But, The Germans wanted to kill my father in Europe. The Germans tried to shoot my Uncle down over Ploesti and other places.
And today, according to you, the Germans disdain a president that I voted for 3 times. So that sword apparently looks somewhat the same from both sides of the blade. Tell the Germans that I am happy with Trump and will vote for him for Vice President next election. I’ve no concern what they wish for the United States. Seems they have their own house full of problems to worry with.
“My background: Yes, I’ve lived in Germany for over 50 years and now divide my time between there and the U.S. I’m a dual citizen, and none of that is particularly relevant to songwriting.”
I agree that none of that has anything to do with songwriting. So why did you bring it up on a songwriting forum, in one of your Hair-afire Trump bashings and lament that you were at risk of deportation because your proof-of-citizenship papers were not necessarily available to prove you up? That was your public tirade on a songwriting forum…not mine.

But, you know Mr Lied's nature, Rob... Don't talk to me like "I'M" stupid. Tony, I dont like Rob's political posts, and I argue against them. I've never met Rob. I strongly suspect that he doesn't like me because of my reactions to his posts, and I can accept that. Notwithstanding what he may think of me, I respect his intelligence and I think that he is a person who leads a respectable life. You and Dom BUGSIE ,on the other hand, are just a couple of blindly ignorant buffoons who post ridiculous garbage, and have no desire to actually do anything about your ignorance other than argue on the basis of it. I , personally, don't think that you can do anything about it. I think that you are both blinded by pathologies. I'd be willing to bet that you are on mood meds and that the dosage gets rangey. I suspect that you reprimanded Rob for talking down to you like you're stupid, because somewhere in you, you know, that you are pretty stupid. And this site has allowed you to become it's de facto mascot. What does that say about them?

But, you know Mr Lied's nature, Rob... Don't talk to me like "I'M" stupid. And Tony, btw You have never been in my presence or interacted with me, or heard the sound of my voice. All I am to you is type on a computer screen. The emotions that you are feeling and the nature that you attribute to me cannot be known to you. The only emotions and nature that you know and feel, are you own. Class is adjourned for this evening. Teacher wants to watch NetFlix. Adieu
