I think it's great to keep history alive especially through a song. We have a couple Pearl Harbor movies and it's such a shocker when the guys are on deck in the early am raising the flag and having their little ceremony and out of no where comes the enemy planes and they are so caught off guard thinking initially they were US planes.

My only thought was and it might be need to just see if it works, would be at your bridge/refrain part try singing the song without pauses between the lines and just have each line go right into the other. You have pauses throughout the whole rest of the song and this would speed up that part but also give it more contrast there to set it apart more as a bridge.

Thanks! Yeah, you can see the oil sheen at the memorial.

I teach an elective class in mathematical modeling of pollutants in the environment. Students have to do a project where they pick a scenario and model it to see the extent of contamination. A few years ago, one of the groups chose to study the oil leaking from the Arizona. Was heartening to see the interest in history among a bunch of 20 year olds. smile

I'm not hearing the bridge without pauses but I'll get the guitar out later and experiment a bit so see if I can hear what you mean.
