Yes, and people are afraid of everything. This morning, I purchased a large container of fresh cut fruit at the market. They were "buy one get one free". I couldn't use both before they'd be inedible. So, when I was at the check-out, I offered one to the customer behind me. She was very hesitant at first but then accepted. I think most people always think there is some kind of catch when someone's being nice. Maybe thought I might have a tracking device attached - ha, ha. Yes, it's a bit uncomfortable being nice these days. It's the "Age of Distrust".
