When I think of all the years

that have crawled slowly by,

filled with loved ones being born

and watching others die,

on this carousel of life,

that spins on endlessly,

I begin to see the beauty of eternity,

whirling past me in a blur

until I cease to breathe.

All those times I took for granted

come to haunt my soul

they're the brass rings that I missed

and each one takes its toll,

as this sweet ride of my life

slows down and others wait,

to claim the horse I rode in on

.... and celebrate.

Chorus-

Be sure to stretch beyond

your wildest dreams to grab those rings,

laugh and sing as life goes whirling by,

cling to all the good it brings,

share your joy with those around you,

through the ups and downs that come,

then you'll hobble away happy

when your ride is finally done

Tiny toddlers with bright eyes

of hope look forward to

all the dreams that I was

saddled to in my pursuits,

so I'll smile as I pass by them

and give each a little nod,

till they ride off towards tomorrow

and I go to meet God.

Chorus-

Be sure to stretch beyond

your wildest dreams to grab those rings,

laugh and sing as life goes whirling by,

cling to all the good it brings,

share your joy with those around you,

through the ups and downs that come,

then you'll hobble away happy

when your ride is finally done.

Bridge-

There will be one final

dizzy journey we all have to make

on a horse with wings,

to where angels sing,

what a glorious ride we'll take,

and the master of all life

will grant us each......

one more brass ring,

that will float above our heads

as halos, heaven's personal bling.

Chorus-

Be sure to stretch beyond

your wildest dreams to grab those rings,

laugh and sing as life goes whirling by,

cling to all the good it brings,

share your joy with those around you,

through the up and downs that come,

then you'll hobble away happy

when your ride is finally done.

yep, you'll hobble away happy

when your ride is finally done.
