You told me about that one smile Man at least if you were with someone else that day you may have survived the experience.

You can always work your way back into the genre, but SLOWLY with a thriller like Steven Spielberg's "Duel" then A "Race With The Devil" with Peter Fonda & Warren Oats.

Then to a mellower Steven King like "Children Of The Corn" or "Maximum Overdrive" where vehicles go around trying to run over people smile Very cool! or "Christine" the haunted car...

Then eventually after a few years you can see the chainsaw wielding maniac Leather Face in a Texas Chainsaw Movie or watch a dozen zombies rip somebody apart alive and eat them LOL smile
