Never recovered from 'Daddy's Gone a Hunting' Released in 67 or 68. Based on title - my parents must have thought it was a nice Disney Movie, gave me 25 cents and sent me off to see Saturday matinee @ Kent theater - right down the block from where I grew up.
Movie turned out to be a psycho-thriller, something from which I never really recovered...and it ruined me from enjoying all the best horror flicks that followed! My loss... Cath You told me about that one  Man at least if you were with someone else that day you may have survived the experience. You can always work your way back into the genre, but SLOWLY with a thriller like Steven Spielberg's "Duel" then A "Race With The Devil" with Peter Fonda & Warren Oats. Then to a mellower Steven King like "Children Of The Corn" or "Maximum Overdrive" where vehicles go around trying to run over people Very cool! or "Christine" the haunted car... Then eventually after a few years you can see the chainsaw wielding maniac Leather Face in a Texas Chainsaw Movie or watch a dozen zombies rip somebody apart alive and eat them LOL Mikey
