I couldn't agree more with your last post, Mike. And I do think that another reason our current society appears to be more immoral (and, like you, I am not sure that it is) is because today's media is more prolific, pervasive and able to bring anything they choose to to the public in a heartbeat, And sensationalism plays in the media. So, you are going to hear mostly the worst and the best of situations from the media. And you are going to hear considerably more of the worst than the best because it sells.
And if one argues that much of what we see on TV and hear on the radio is crap, that is because the "people" watch and listen, otherwise there would be something else on. Who are the "people"? You , me, everyone else. And who are you me and everyone else? Society! So if our society is corrupt and/or immoral, who is to blame?
Anyone, as an individual, can say, I don't watch/listen to that crap. But what you call crap might be someone else's entertainmdent goldmine. And since what much of society watches/listens to is what some of you call crap, immoral, corrupt, indecent, etc., that means you are in a huge minority. Like it or not, we are all part of the "society" that currently exists. So if an immoral society is to blame, again, who is that...you, me and almost everyone else.
